The show has been cancelled for the third season by ABC since May 4 of this year. All the stars are looking for new roles since then. Well this is pretty surprising that the lead actress of a show is not getting any roles at all. May be cancellation of “Men in Trees” is lone responsible for this. I read somewhere in news immediately after the cancellation news that it brought out hard time for the actress. She has to meet financial needs of her six year old son Homer. It is also learnt that the actress is $364,000 in debt.

Anyways, she’s good in “Men in Trees” and I can just hope that she will get a major project after this long patience. Like it is said ‘slow and steady wins the race’, may be it can become true with her.

Really, when I watched this episode first time, it made me go behind the scenes to see who wrote and directed this superb episode. How many times can you watch an episode? 10 times, 15 times…. And I’ve watched it 16 times and don’t know how many times I’ll see it in future. It did very well from beginning to end.

Episode opened with the town of Elmo hoping for the best. Everyone prayed for Jack’s life which might be in danger. Marin discovered that Jack could be in peril. She focused her energy on nursing Cash. And, the best part of this episode was - the piano music, it was very well chosen and it worked very well in background. On the other hand, Patrick asked a young beautiful gal out on a date.

Next we saw Annie who discovered surprising news about Jerome’s past and was very surprised by all those things. Sara and Pastor Eric’s relationship became tense when the church caught Sara in a compromising position.

You know, the more I watch this episode, the more I find things to like. Sara and Eric story line was the funniest part of the episode and Cash’s story line was also good. After watching it first time, I immediately uttered, ‘oh! Its great and I can’t wait for the next one’. Originally, this episode was aired on 3-5-2008 during the second season of series. Why to remind it once again? Actually, it seems hard to forget series which you’re crazy for and the same is with me, in case of ‘Men in Trees‘. When it was on air, I used to watch every episode and after its cancellation, I am still watching it, not everyday but once in a week. Will you trust me; I’ve watched the second season finale ‘Taking the Lead’ 30 times and can watch it for innumerous times. Not only the season finale, but every episode was good and after its cancellation, we lost a lustrous show of decade.

Yesterday, I was alone at home. Mama and dad were out of station and it was tough for me to kill the time. So, I switched on my laptop and started watching my favorite TV show and obviously, it was ‘Men in Trees’. I downloaded the whole second season and started watching from the season opener ‘A Tree Goes in Elmo’. As I’ve already said, my favorite episode from second season is the ‘Taking the Lead’, but I also like ‘Kiss and don’t tell’. What I like about this episode? Hey! First of all, its name. Isn’t it a little spicy? HA ha ah…

Okay, not being spicy, and being a good viewer, I’ll say that episode was really enjoyable. Here we saw that Cash had been discharged from the hospital and Marin wanted Cash to recuperate in her home so she asked Jack regarding this. Patrick got hired by Jane’s company. Mia moved in with Celia and Buzz got in touch with his emotions in order to win Mia back. Meanwhile, Jane tried to woo Pilar.

Not only this episode, but various other episodes were also fantastic throughout the series. Here, I’d like to mention ‘A Tale of Two Kidneys’, ‘Sea Change’, ‘No Man is an Iceland’, ‘Talk for Tat’ and list goes on….

Despite the fact that the series has been called off after its two seasons. Fans are still waiting for its comeback. They are of the view that the series should be renewed. They are of the view that the series had an original concept and that it served as a great entertainment to them. Above all they were completely in love with the star cast of the show and that was one main reason that attracted its viewers. They loved the chemistry that the stars shared on screen and were of the view that they portrayed real emotions on screen, which attached them more with the serial. They had also loved the show because of its amazing comedy and the serious relationships that it had portrayed, making an amazing combination of the both.

The series not only acclaimed its viewers praise, but it was critically acclaimed too. They were of the view that the show possessed the qualities like originality and its unique theme was what made the show watch able. The critics were too mainly impressed by the leading character of the show, which was portrayed by Anne Heche. They were of the view that she was so comfortable with her role in the series and that could be made out from her acting in the series.

Well the cancellation of the series came as a surprise to its viewers as it was well received and appreciated. The fans are still under the hope that the series will begin with another season and more of comedy and romance in it.

Well, I was not a huge fan of series and its cancellation didn’t hurt me but it made me think, why series got cancelled? List of cancelled shows is getting new and new names each day and the very recent addition in this list is- Moonlight. It has been cancelled by the network just after the first season.

ABC is one of the networks who get rid of old or low -rated shows to adopt new ones so they cancelled ‘Men in Trees‘ despite of its being one of the very sweet and genuinely funny TV dramas. ‘Gypsy’- this is what I’d like to call this show which struggled hard to secure a place for itself on ABC time slot. Show was moved six times from one time-slot to another and it also went on hiatus twice. After all, it’s hard for any drama to survive with such kinda disturbing as well as life-threatening decisions. I still remember the word of Jenny Bicks, series creator, “I am really proud of the work we did on MIT. A huge thank you to our supportive fans.” The lady was also very surprised when she came to know about network’s decision to call-off the show. And, definitely, it was a soul-crushing experience for the viewers who liked the show. But I must appreciate the efforts of series creator who gave fans a fitting conclusion and the season finale was tweaked very brilliantly to act as a series finale. So, we all got a fine end which summarized/ wrapped up the stuff smartly.
